They were awesome. didn’t pressure me into doing unnecessary test that I couldn’t afford but gave options of what we could check. Will have another appointment in a couple of weeks to get some other things done also. The staff was awesome. They will definitely keep being Zelda’s vet.

Reece is a full-time RV'er. He was scratching his ears often, so when we arrived in Cheyenne, WY, we called Prairie Hills Animal Hospital. Dr. Staples and her mobile team came to our RV site that morning for a checkup. They took ear swabs for analysis. They returned that afternoon for ear washing and shots that would be due next month.

We absolutely love Prairie Hills for our fur babies. Our two kitties, 14 year old senior dog and two month old puppy get such excellent care. Dr. Barker discovered things with our senior that four other vets over the years never told us or found. She can finally live out her golden years in comfort which is all we want and she deserves. Great surgery experience but not much help getting medications. I called on. Friday stating I'm going to be out of meds for my dog. The lady was super helpful and said we don't have that medication but the vet could write me a prescription. I was told come in Monday pick the script and so I can get the medicine from another provider in the near term. I drive 50 miles into town on Monday and the front desk has no clue what's going on. They said all the vets are out lunch and I need to wait. They also stated I need to pay for the prescription and order through their mail order system. I need the prescription in 6 days and Chewy is the only one who delivers to my house. Well I got the response over the phone I need to make the best decision when it comes to my pocket book. I just paid for $1500 dollars in vet care at their facility for my dogs money is not the object getting my dogs care and medicine is.

Previously had heard really good things about this vet- the first two appointments we went to, we were put in a room and had to wait 40 minutes before being seen. Recently we went back in for our dog's heartworm test, and they said they would call us with the results in 20-30 minutes. I did not receive a text, so I called them back the next morning to ask about it. They said oh, we accidentally texted someone else, and we need you to come back in because the blood sample clotted. They have called me before, so they should have my correct number on file. Then I mention I am worried he may have a cough, so we make an appointment but they said "how fast you will be seen depends on how busy we are". What is the point of making an appointment then? The staff has been nice, so I am thinking they may just be understaffed/overworked. Since I work full time it is important to me that my appointments are relatively timely and that my dog is getting the best care, and I just did not feel like they were fitting the bill.
We have tried several vets in the Cheyenne area, and Prairie Hills has provided our family with a far superior experience than any other. We highly recommend their services!
We love Prairie Hills!! All of the staff members are wonderful and so sweet toward our dog, she has never been very comfortable at a vet clinic until now. Before appointments, all we have to say is “vet” and she gets so excited and can’t wait to get in the car to go to the clinic.
A year ago I was on the hunt to figure out if something was wrong with my cats teeth as her baby teeth didn’t fall out when her adult teeth started coming in and she kept grinding them nonstop. I went to three other vets prior before Prairie Hills, who actually listened to my concerns and did a thorough job with X-rays. They found she had a misaligned jaw and abscesses under her gums. Poor thing was probably in bad pain for months. They’ve been wonderful with my other cats as well and are probably the only vets I now trust with my older cat to go under anesthesia. All the vet techs and front desk are always wonderful and I like the app I can message through. Highly recommend here and I just hope it doesn’t get too busy with popularity like other places around town have become.

Our cat got hurt while were traveling and Prairie Hills was able to get us in the same day to be seen. Great service from the call to making an appointment and getting our Luca treatment. The doctor was knowledgeable and everyone was thoughtful and kind.

Great team. I have used both the veterinary services as well as the boarding. Because of the boarding they require the leptospirosis vaccination. Another vet in town told me it was not needed. Sure glad they think it is necessary. Out past vet in Colorado always did the vaccination and I was surprised when we moved here it was not recommended. Thanks for the great care and advice.
